20th REUNION DETAILS...

"THE BEST OF TIMES"
PFHS 20TH CLASS REUNION SCHEDULE

Friday, August 23rd , we had the opportunity to catch up with old friends at Seville Quarter. I always find it wonderfully amazing how we can go so many years without seeing someone and just pick up as if it was only yesterday since we were last together. By the end of the night the twenty years had vanished and new memories were in the making.

Saturday, August 24th, 11-2pm, our family day at the beach began at 11am and went on till 2pm. This is when we had a chance to show off our most prized accomplishments. Our children. Many of us have children that were our age when we graduated, at what seems, just a short time ago. We met at Fort Pickens Park and took up about five pavillions. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day.

Saturdary Night, August 24th, 7-11pm, we celebrated at the Clarion Suites Resort & Convention Center. Our program began with a prayer of thanks and dedication to our beloved lost classmates. The song "Tears in Heaven" played while Mrs. Scales lit a candle for each classmate lost. We then had a moment of silence while the song played on... Dinner was then served. We enjoyed a wonderful buffet catered by McGuires which consisted of grilled chicken or fish, steamed vegetables, a pasta salad, tossed salad, rolls, tea or coffee, and for dessert, a delicious cheesecake. During dinner, we announced the awards (detailed on Reunion Details page). Our music was provided by "Complete Music". The dj played all our favorites from the 80's and did a wonderful job. We also had a Memory Table that displayed items from our times at PFHS along with items that showed the changes that have occured from then until today. The "Dunning Company" took candid pictures throughout the night as well as individual pictures of classmates and their spouses or friends. Calvin Pugh has started a PFHS group page at www.yahoogroups.com/group/pfhs1982/join. Please check it out and if you have time sign my guest book. The committee and I had a wonderful time planning our reunion. Seeing the fun everyone had and the kind words expressed made the hard work and time spent well worth the effort made. I look forward to planning the 25th (Lord willing) and I'll see everyone then.
